The annual German enamel congress was held in Maritim Hotel Würzburg from April 1 till 3, 2019.
Circa 100 stakeholders from the vitreous enameling industry in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, Belgium and The Netherlands participated in this event, which was well organized by the Deutscher Email Verband.
Presentations of technical papers, on Monday & Wednesday, included among others the following topics :
- Effects of hydrogen in enameling steel
- Additive manufacturing & enameling
- Enamel firing with induction
- Effect of titanium white enamel particles in boiler enameling
- Enamels without nickel & cobalt
- Measurement & process control of wet enamel slip rheology
On Tuesday participants could furthermore visit either one of the nearby enameling companies or the Fraunhofer institute.
