New EU framework for machine safety

Regulation EU 2023/1230 has come into force on July 19th, 2023 and its application will be mandatory from January 2027.

This regulation replace the current machine safety directive 2006/42/EC.

In consequence manufacturers, importers, and distributors of all types of machinery will have to comply with extensive new catalogs of obligations in the future.

In addition, new requirements apply to cyber security and artificial intelligence.
