  1. Ferro’s Engineering Divison was sold to Smit Ovens in 1993 and went bankrupt some year later. Some spin-offs restarted the furnace business, but also these companies ceased to exist. In consequence there are hardly any companies left with knowledge of Ferro enameling furnace design. ↩︎
