After an illustrious career spanning over six decades, Jan Post, the founder of Allied Enamel Supplies (A.E.S.), has decided to retire at the age of 79.
His journey in the enamelling business, which has lasted for 50 years, is a testament to his dedication and passion for the industry.
Jan’s professional journey began in Australia, but it was in the Netherlands where he truly made his mark.
In 1974, he joined Ferro (Holland) Engineering Division as a furnace bricklayer.
His commitment and expertise saw him rise through the ranks, first to Field Engineer and later to Project Engineer.
In 1993, Ferro’s Engineering division was sold to Smit Ovens, a Dutch company.
Despite the challenges that followed, Jan’s resilience shone through.
In 1997, he took over the Engineering Division from the struggling Smit Ovens and founded Alliance Enamel Engineering B.V.
This venture eventually evolved into Allied Enamel Supplies (A.E.S.), a company that has served the enamelling industry with distinction.
As Jan winds up A.E.S. and steps into retirement, he extends his heartfelt gratitude to all those he has worked with over the years.
We wish Jan all the best in his well-deserved retirement.
