Gun spitting is a possible cause for lumps at powder enameling plants.
Possible reasons for gun spitting or puffing are :
- Poor powder fluidization
- Too low atomizing air pressure
- Too long powder hoses
- Damp powder
- Powder buildup on gun tip
- Irregular reciprocator movements
